ヨハン・マリクー特命全権大使より、同窓会の感想と同窓生の皆さまにメッセージをいただきましたのでご紹介いたします。また、同窓会を代表して、同窓会にメッセージをいただけましたことを感謝申し上げます。
It was with great pleasure and joy that I had the privilege of welcoming close to 350 former students of the Japan School Brussels for a reunion party at the Embassy. I have been overwhelmed by the very positive and kind comments made about my country by so many Japanese who spent their childhood and youth in Belgium. I had the strong feeling that all participants shared a strong nostalgia for those years spent at the Japan school in Brussels. Almost all of them wished to return to Belgium for holidays and show their husbands or wives, and also their children, the scenic spots and historic towns they have visited during their stay there. I felt emotionally very moved when I learned, as I did on many other occasions, that so many Japanese share such excellent souvenirs about Belgium.
I also wish to thank former directors and professors for having joined us at this party and for sharing with me their excellent souvenirs.
I hope that you will meet again many times at the Embassy.
